Abstract#
Garlic flags every copycat Pump.fun coin (a "vamp") within seconds of its launch, runs community takeovers of abandoned coins in public, shows how much each original dev regrets selling, and runs a launchpad that protects every coin launched on it. The idea underneath all four: don't vamp a coin, take it over. The original keeps its name, and its community gets a fair, public way to take it over.
The problem#
When a Pump.fun coin gets attention, copies with the same name, ticker and image launch within minutes. They split buyers and volume, and newcomers can't tell which one is the original. In our own live tests in October 2026, a large share of new launches matched an earlier coin's name, image or links.
When an original's dev sells and walks away, the community can ask Pump.fun to redirect the coin's creator fees to a new team (a community takeover). There is no standard, public way to show that the holders actually want it, that the team is accountable, or where the fees go afterwards.
How it works#
OG Check
Every new Pump.fun coin is compared with the coins before it: name, ticker, image (by a perceptual fingerprint), links, and the marks copy tools leave behind. A match scoring 65% or more is labelled a copy of the earliest coin. Matches on name or ticker alone only count against notable originals (ones that reached $20,000 or are known), so ten unrelated coins called "CAT" aren't copies of each other.
Labels are facts with timestamps: a copy is labelled "Copy of $X", never "scam". Anyone can dispute a label. $GARLIC holders can weigh in through the OG council, which is advisory, and a person on the team decides.
Dev regret
For each original, Garlic finds the dev's wallets (the deployer, the wallets it funded, wallets that bought in the creation block, and wallets sharing a funder), then compares what they sold for with what that bag would be worth now. The result is a regret multiple, with milestones at 10×, 50×, 100×, 1,000×, a shareable exit receipt, and the Hall of Regret. It uses on-chain numbers only: no names, no doxxing, and the bots never tag anyone's personal account.
Community takeovers
- Eligibility. A coin can be taken over when its dev wallets have sold at least 95% of their tokens, or haven't touched the coin for 7 days.
- Start a vote. Starting costs 0.25 SOL, refunded if the vote passes, and is free for $GARLIC holders. The starter names a public team of 3 to 5 people.
- Snapshot. Voting power is each holder's balance when the vote opens, leaving out the dev's wallets, creation-block bundles and snipers, known bots, program accounts, and fresh wallets funded from one source within 24 hours of the vote.
- Vote. Holders vote by signing a free message. A vote passes after 48 hours with at least 30% of eligible tokens voting, more than 66% of them yes, and at least 25 voters.
- Veto. If the original dev is still around, they can block votes for 7 days by signing a message from the deployer wallet.
- Hand-over. The team holds the fees in a Squads multisig that needs at least 2 signatures from at least 3 voting members, all on the public team, with no config authority. Garlic builds an evidence packet for Pump.fun, which decides on the fee redirect. Every spend from the multisig shows on a public fee dashboard, labelled by the team.
The launchpad
Every launch is checked against existing coins first. A coin that copies an original is blocked, or can only launch as a tribute. Mint addresses end in "og". The creator signs the launch, and a second signature locks the creator-fee split on Pump.fun, where nobody can change it afterwards, Garlic included:
- Standard: 95% to the creator, 5% to Garlic.
- Tribute: 75% to the creator, 20% to the original's community, 5% to Garlic. The community's share goes to the original's approved takeover multisig, or to the tribute escrow until there is one.
Bots
A Telegram bot answers /og, /regret and /watch in any group. Posts to X are drafted automatically and sent only after a person approves them.
Money flows#
Every flow of money through Garlic, with the exact shares the code uses.
| Money in | Share | Goes to | When | How to check |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Creator fees of coins launched here (standard) | 95% / 5% | The creator / Garlic | As Pump.fun pays creator fees | The coin's fee config on-chain, locked at launch |
| Creator fees of coins launched here (tribute) | 75% / 20% / 5% | The creator / the original's community / Garlic | As Pump.fun pays creator fees | The coin's fee config, and the tribute escrow wallet |
| Creator fees of a taken-over coin | 5% | Garlic, as agreed with the team; the rest stays with the team's multisig | After Pump.fun approves the takeover | The coin's public fee dashboard |
| Takeover vote fee | 0.25 SOL | The vote-fee wallet. Refunded if the vote passes, kept if it fails | When the vote closes | The vote-fee wallet |
| $GARLIC creator fees | All | Platform revenue, split as below | As Pump.fun pays creator fees | The treasury on the token page |
| Platform revenue | 50% | Buys $GARLIC on the market and burns it | Regularly | The buyback wallet and burns on the mint |
| Platform revenue | 30% | SOL to $GARLIC holders, in proportion to their balance | In distributions | The rewards wallet |
| Platform revenue | 20% | Servers, bots and reviews | As needed | The operations wallet |
Payments and coin data are on Solana mainnet.
Token#
There is no $GARLIC yet. When it launches, its mint address will appear here, on the token page and on our X account, nowhere else. Anything calling itself $GARLIC before then is a copy, and Garlic will flag it.
$GARLIC launches on Pump.fun with its standard supply of 1,000,000,000 and no presale. All of its creator fees are platform revenue. If the team holds any $GARLIC, the wallets will be listed here.
Holders with at least 1,000,000 $GARLIC get:
- Free takeover-vote starts (others pay 0.25 SOL)
- A seat on the OG council, which advises on disputed labels
- A holder badge across the site
- A share of platform revenue in SOL (30% of it)
Holding never changes a label or a takeover result. The council is advisory, and a takeover vote counts the coin's own holders, not $GARLIC.

Every OG page lists the evidence behind its label. Every takeover page shows the snapshot, the excluded wallets and why, and each signed ballot. Every taken-over coin has a public fee dashboard, and the token page shows the treasury with live balances.
Risks and limits#
- Labels can be wrong. OG Check uses heuristics. An honest coin can be labelled a copy, or a copy can slip through. Labels can be disputed, and a person decides.
- A passed vote doesn't guarantee a takeover. Pump.fun decides whether to redirect a coin's fees.
- Takeover teams can misuse funds. The multisig rules make one person unable to move the money, and every spend is public, but a team acting together can still spend badly.
- Vote fees can be lost. If a vote fails, its 0.25 SOL fee isn't refunded.
- Coins can go to zero. Every coin on Pump.fun, $GARLIC included, is volatile. Being the OG doesn't make a coin a good buy.
- Pump.fun can change. The launchpad and takeovers depend on Pump.fun's programs and fee rules. If they change, fee splits and takeovers can change with them.
- AI writes some text. The "Dear dev" letters are written by an AI model from on-chain numbers, and can get the tone wrong.
- Legal status. The legal review isn't finished. Holder rewards, coordinating takeovers and labelling coins all raise questions, and the rules may change to comply with the law.
Roadmap#
Built
- OG Check on every new Pump.fun coin, with disputes and the OG council

- The launchpad, with pre-checks and locked fee splits
- The Telegram bot, X drafts and the embeddable OG badge
Planned
- Launch $GARLIC on Pump.fun and publish its mint here
- Open the Telegram bot and X account to the public
- Finish the legal review
Disclaimer#
This page explains how Garlic works. It isn't financial, legal or tax advice, and it isn't an offer to sell anything. Nothing here promises a return. $GARLIC and every coin on Pump.fun can lose all of their value. Only spend what you can afford to lose.
