The Garlic docs

How to check a coin, start or vote in a takeover, launch a protected coin, and use the bots.

Updated:

Quick start#

  1. Paste a coin's contract address (CA) or ticker into the search on the home page.
  2. Its OG page tells you whether it's the original or a copy, and shows the evidence: matching name, image, links or copy-tool marks, with timestamps.
  3. For an original, see how much the dev regrets selling, and whether its community can take it over.
  4. Share the page, or add the Telegram bot to your group and send /watch with the CA to get alerts.

Guides#

Check a coin

Search by CA or ticker. An original gets the OG seal and a list of its copies. A copy is labelled "Copy of $X" with a link to the original. A match needs a score of 65% or more; name or ticker alone only counts against notable originals.

Dispute a label

On the coin's OG page, open "Not right? Tell us", say what's wrong, and leave a contact if you want an answer. A person reviews every dispute, usually within a day, and the label stays as it is until then. $GARLIC holders can weigh in on open disputes from the token page.

Read the regret meter

On an original's OG page, the regret meter compares what the dev's wallets sold for with what those tokens are worth now. Milestones post at 10×, 50×, 100×, 1,000×. Download the exit receipt to share it. The Hall of Regret ranks the biggest regrets.

Start a takeover vote

  1. Open the coin's takeover page from its OG page. It says whether the coin is eligible: the dev's wallets sold at least 95%, or haven't touched it for 7 days.
  2. Name the team: 3 to 5 people, each with a public handle and their own wallet.
  3. Pay the 0.25 SOL vote fee from your wallet (refunded if the vote passes), or sign a free message if you hold at least 1,000,000 $GARLIC. A payment order lasts 30 minutes.
  4. The vote opens for 48 hours. Share the page with the coin's holders.

Vote in a takeover

Connect the wallet that holds the coin and sign your yes or no. Signing is free and can't move funds. Your vote counts with your balance from the moment the vote opened. Dev wallets, creation-block bundles, known bots and fresh wallets funded from one source within 24 hours don't count, and the page lists every excluded wallet and why.

Veto a takeover (original devs)

If you launched the coin and you're still around, open its takeover page and sign the veto message with the deployer wallet. It blocks takeover votes for 7 days. Sign again to keep it going.

Hand the fees to the team

After a vote passes, the team sets up a Squads multisig: at least 3 voting members, at least 2 signatures needed, no config authority, and every member on the public team. Paste the multisig's own address (from its settings, not the vault). Garlic checks it and builds the evidence packet for Pump.fun. Once the fees arrive, team members label each spend on the coin's fee dashboard.

Launch a protected coin

  1. On the launch page, fill in the name (up to 32 bytes), ticker (2 to 10 capital letters or digits), description (up to 500 characters) and image (4 MB, up to 1024 px a side).
  2. OG Check runs first. A copy of a protected coin is blocked; a coin that looks like an existing one can launch as a tribute to it.
  3. Sign the launch with your wallet. Your coin's address ends in "og".
  4. Sign the second transaction within 30 minutes. It locks the fee split: 95/5 standard, or 75/20/5 for a tribute. A draft that isn't launched within 30 minutes expires.

Use the Telegram bot

  • /og <CA or ticker>: the original, its copies and the OG page
  • /regret <CA>: how much the dev regrets selling
  • /watch <CA>: alerts in this chat for copies, regret milestones and takeovers (up to 25 coins per chat)
  • /unwatch <CA or all>, /watch on its own to list, /help

Embed the OG badge

Put a coin's live OG badge on your own site with the snippet on the bots page. It updates when the label changes.

$GARLIC holders

Opens when $GARLIC launches. You'll check your balance on the token page by signing a message.

FAQ#

Is a copy a scam?

Not necessarily, and we never call it one. "Copy of" means it launched after a coin it matches. What you do with that is up to you.

Who decides which coin is the OG?

The earliest launch among coins that match. If you think a label is wrong, dispute it on the OG page; a person reviews it, and $GARLIC holders can weigh in.

Where does my 0.25 SOL go?

To the vote-fee wallet. If the vote passes, it's refunded to the wallet that paid. If it fails, it's kept as platform revenue, split 50% buyback and burn, 30% to holders and 20% operations.

Does Garlic hold a taken-over coin's fees?

No. The fees go to the team's multisig, which Garlic never signs for. Garlic's 5% share is agreed with the team.

Can a launch's fee split be changed later?

No. The second signature locks it on Pump.fun, and nobody can change it afterwards, Garlic included.

What if the original dev comes back?

They can veto takeover votes for 7 days at a time by signing with the deployer wallet.

Is this a rug?

You shouldn't have to take our word for it, so the money is checkable: every treasury wallet is listed with its balance, launch splits are locked on-chain, and takeover funds sit in the team's multisig, not ours. Coins, $GARLIC included, can still go to zero.
